Product description

Rubber is a water dilutable high build roof coating that is very elastic and especially suitable for rather old roofs primed with Eternit Primer. Rubber has good adhesion. Strong and water-repellent surface. Light-fast and weather-stable. CE-marked (EN1504/2). Rubber is used for fibre cement (primed with Eternit Primer), concrete, bitumen. Especially suitable for rather old surfaces primed with Eternit Primer. Not usable on clay tiles and natural slate.

Colours

Standard colours: Black, anthracite grey, anthracite grey dark, light grey, slate grey, oxide red, bordeaux, swedish red, tile red, red brown, mocca, dark brown, and forest green. Other colours are available on demand.

Application details

The temperature must be between 8° C and 30° C and relative humidity <85 % RH.

Application method

Brush, roller or airless, nozzles 19 – 21, 180 - 220 bar To ensure the optimum layer thickness, we recommend to apply the paint in two layers. Always make a test coat to ensure the compatibility of product and surface. It is recommended to maintain coated roofs with a treatment with Iso A-Clean every second year – in order to keep the surface nice and clean.

Spreading rate 2,5 - 3,5 m²/l

Drying time The drying time for wet layer thickness 200 µm 20° C / 65 % RH: Touchdry after ~2 hours. Recoatable after ~4 hours. Fully cured after ~24 hours. The drying time and time for recoating depend on layer thickness, temperature, relative air humidity, and air circulation.

Pretreatment/cleaning The roof must be cleaned thoroughly using high-pressure and Iso A-Clean. It is advantageous to prime fibre cement roofs with Eternit Primer in order to obtain a durable surface (see TDS). The surface must be clean, dry and durable.

Environment Avoid spillage into drains, water systems and soil. Destroy liquid waste according to the local regulations. Recycle or dispose of empty, dry cans in accordance with local regulations. VOC: Max. 40 g/l (Kat. A/c)
